Tasks & responsibilities:
- Leading all product development and product sustaining activities of the product line
- Plans product development execution in regards to required capabilities and resources.
- Develops and aligns long term capability and capacity plan with center of excellence. Implements and builds up required capabilities within product line.
- Facilitates design trade-off decisions, leads escalation path if Product Line strategy is impacted
- Overall responsibility of all requirements specifications of the system and all its integrated system elements
- Owns the structural cost all R&D sites of product line. Ensures the 1:1 translation of the structural cost budget with the project budgets of the product line project portfolio.
- Owns the budgeting process towards centers of excellence to define and specify the delivery of resources and the development of standard parts and elements.
- Develops talent and expertise within a function to support unit, division, and enterprise business objectives
- Ensures engineering tools, processes and test facilities are being developed to meet future requirements of product line in close collaboration with other product lines and the centers of excellence.
- Accountable to maximize the effectiveness of the modular product line architecture by defining and executing a modular platform strategy within the product line.
- Manages interaction with CoE leader to ensure that required capabilities, standards and capacity is provided to Product Line development teams

Your Qualifications:
Completed university studies in engineering, industrial engineering or comparative qualification with a high affinity for systems engineering, system development and integration as well as validation
Extensive experience in the definition and implementation and sustaining of complex global R&D organizations.
- Strong leadership skills leading a high performing team of experienced leaders and technical experts (leading leaders)
- Comprehensive understanding of product development processes (Stage Gate, V-Model, Agile development methods, etc.) advantageous, but in particular knowledge of product development processes, product master data & configuration management necessary
- A high affinity and understanding of technology and the ability to manage the digital transformation of the R&D organization, the digitization of core R&D processes and product functions.
- At least 10 years relevant professional experience in international program and project management.
- Experience in the overall system engineering principles and practice including comprehensive understanding of the requirement management process including verification & validation of complex mechatronic systems.
- High level of understanding in the area of statistical design methods and practices (DFSS, robust design, reliability engineering, etc.)
- Experience in the definition and integration of model-based system engineering methods and tools.
- Strategic mind-set with excellent analytical and conceptual skills
- Independent, structured and careful way of working
- Skills in communication, conflict management and moderation
- Fluent in Business English, additional languages are an advantage
