Roadside DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) [Austria]


 
Kapsch TrafficCom develops smart solutions to make mobility safer, more sustainable and efficient for everybody. We design, build and operate traffic management systems including connected vehicles technology and mobility demand management as well as tolling services for cities, roads, tunnels and bridges around the world. We develop data and video analytics platforms, building on state-of-the-art technologies including AI, machine learning, big data and cloud services to enable the digitalization of mobility.

Kapsch TrafficCom is searching for a Roadside DevOps Engineer for tolling systems. An engineer that supports the deployment, testing and operation of our Roadside (tolling stations) solution.

Your responsibilities:

  • Integration and Testing of Tolling Systems in international customer projects
  • $ads={1}

    Collaborate with our development teams at various locations (Austria, Argentina, Sweden, US) and 3rd party suppliers
  • Establish and maintain test environments including hardware (prototypes, laboratory environments, network setups)
  • Integrate proprietary and 3rd party products to a customer satisfying solution (SW & HW)
  • Design, development, and execution of manual and automated test cases
  • 3rd level support for customer projects including on-call-duty

Your profile:

  • You completed a technical education (informatics, engineering, electronics, etc.)
  • If something is not working, you are eager to track it down and trigger further resolutions
  • You have a mindset for efficiency, productivity and creativity and are able to work in diverse international teams
  • Willingness to travel on site for work on customer installations
  • Experience in usability tests and/or network knowledge is a plus
  • An ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) or equivalent certification is a plus
  • Software development skills, experience with Jira, Confluence, Xray, Jenkins CI, Git and Azure would be an advantage
  • Software test automation and scripting knowledge (e.g., Robot framework, Python, SoapUI, Powershell);
  • Fluent in spoken and written English is a must, German would be an advantage
