About the role:
This position leads the Vienna site’s manufacturing support department. It includes the organizational design, set up and leadership of a consolidated manufacturing support department responsible for all manufacturing support duties across all manufacturing units at the Vienna site. Products include a combination of plasma-derived therapies and biologics products.
In this role you will report to the Head of Manufacturing Vienna and lead a manufacturing support team across five units. The objective is to ensure that all aspects of Safety, Compliance, Quality, Production targets and Finance are being considered to optimize manufacturing performance and metrics. This will require the implementation of operational excellence and continuous improvement. In addition to role will optimize manufacturing support process performance and metrics and contribute to the manufacturing department strategy.
How you will contribute:
Responsible for leading, harmonizing, standardizing and consolidation of Deviation, CAPA and Change Control requirements and related activities across all manufacturing units of the Vienna Site as well as ensuring that all issues are addressed promptly and effectively
Ensure that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date, and that all subject matter experts provide the necessary support to the manufacturing team.
Provide leadership and direction to an overarching manufacturing support team, ensuring that all employees are aligned with the company's strategic and operational goals and objectives, developing them into a high performing team
Work with the Head of Manufacturing and respective manufacturing units to translate site and manufacturing strategy into strategy for the manufacturing support department across all product portfolios to ensure achievement of overall business objectives
Identify, develop and execute on value creation initiatives that reduce year-over-year OPEX through the implementation of innovation, digital, operational excellence, and technology improvements
Develop strategies for innovative, digitized support processes together with the Business Excellence (BE) and Data, Digital and Technology (DD&T) functions
What you bring to Takeda:
Bachelor or Master's degree in science or engineering, or a related field
Vast experience in manufacturing management, with several years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of manufacturing support and manufacturing core processes, including lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to work in a Matrix organization
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience in a regulated industry, such as pharmaceuticals or medical devices, is required
Fluency in English and very good knowledge of German is required
