PROJECT DIRECTOR FOR DIRECT REDUCTION (M/W/*)

WHAT ARE MY RESPONSIBILITIES?

Our department I&S PM is responsible for the project execution of the Iron and Steelmaking business.

We provide highest project management expertise and are responsible for the execution from contract award till closure of the project with the mission to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

For the execution of large and complex Agglomeration and Direct Reduction projects, we are strengthening our team with a Project Director.

The following tasks are key for the job:

• You live full responsibility for the successful implementation of your projects.
• You manage the project within the defined financial-, quality- and scheduletargets.
• You identify additional opportunities out of the ongoing project. You negotiate with stakeholders on change requests and incorporate them into contracts.
• You manage the project risks by identifying and assessing all risk factors utilizing available risk assessment tools.
• You monitor continuously the project status, early identify discrepancies, and initiate mitigation measures where necessary.
• You work with your team. You agree targets with the teams and delegate defined responsibilities and authorities.
• You ensure compliance to valid regulations, rules and standards.
• You ensure efficient communication with all revelant stakeholders.
• You drive the project closure and ensure that all relevant information is filed and available for future projects.

• ) Iron and Steelmaking combines the businesses for Agglomeration, Blast Furnace Ironmaking, Direct and Smelting Reduction, Converter Steelmaking, Electric Steelmaking and Environmental Solutions.

WHAT DO I NEED TO QUALIFY FOR THIS JOB?

• 10+ years management experience of complex construction and plant building projects
• Advanced knowledge of engineering and business unit related technology to understand technical implications
• Advanced knowledge in project management methods and tools, know-how of contract law and regulations for project buisness
• Work experience in international teams
• Willingness for travels and site delegations
• Advanced knowledge in English and German

You also bring distinctive conflict management skills and inter-cultural skills.

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?

The minimum annual gross salary for this position under the collective agreement and assuming that all requirements are met is EUR 46.346,72 (F/00). This could rise considerably, depending on qualifications and experience. We also offer attractive social benefits, such as occupational health, adequate free parking, a canteen, as well as flexible working hours.
